Sail On

Hello,

yes once again it has been awhile... (I still blame school). However, I have come out of retirement today to give you all a little announcement.

Coastline Pilot has finally released a new single, Sail On, and it is amazing!!!!

Haven't heard of Coastline Pilot yet?

Coastline Pilot is a local Vancouver band with incredible talent. I first saw them perform back in 2010 at a small venue in Vancouver called Heritage Hall. Since then the band's sound has changed dramatically, improving with age, as these boys mature and develop their own personal style. What I love and appreciate about Coastline Pilot is that they sound like no one but themselves, which is hard to come by these days. Their uniqueness, thoughtful lyrics, soulful melodies, and energetic shows make them a must to see. Lucky for you guys the boys have a show coming up on Tuesday, May 7th at The Roxy on Granville St. Doors open at 7pm, cover is 7$ with ticket and 10$ without. I highly recommend that if you live in the area, you go and give these boys a listen!

Also, while you're at it check out a few of their other songs as well. I was having trouble posting the videos from youtube, so just click on the links :) If you guys like what you hear, the band also has an EP available on iTunes for purchase here.

Also, don't forget to check out their band page and like them on Facebook.

slow to learn.

Yes, yes...

it has been a long while since my last post, but here I am now. The blog has unfortunately been put on the back burner due to mass amounts of school. Good news is I have been going through a lot of changes in my personal life and so far I am pretty freaking happy. I did a shoot yesterday. I wanted to mix rebel denim with a beautiful high and low floral dress I own, but unfortunately I could not man up for the cold weather and the shots I got of that outfit are limited. However, my photographer got some great shots of me in the outfit I wore to the shoot, which was inspired heavily by the 90s.

These were my three favourite shots of the day. Now that the weather is warming up (and the sun might come out?) I will find more inspiration to get outside, and hopefully learn some better time management skills.

Also, I have done a few of my 25 by 25 things, but more on that later.

I shall not be defined.

Mm yes, it has been awhile. I've got some creative stuff floating through this brain of mine, however until then, enjoy...

I saw you kissing tiny flowers.

Hello, and sorry for the delay in writing. Last week was the first week back to school, and I had to learn how to get back into the swing of things - I pretty much just dove head first. Also, yesterday was the year mark of my dad passing away. So overall it has been a roller coaster of emotions these past seven days.

Saturday I was able to go visit beautiful Parksville up island a little bit. It's a small, quaint seaside town with tons of beautiful trains nearby for hiking, exploring, and just really relaxing.

These are some of my favourite pictures from the day.

Anytime I get to be outdoors I always feel more grounded. I am so blessed to live in one of the most beautiful places, diverse places on earth.

Since it is Music Monday here are a few tracks I have been listening to this week!

The Theory Of Relativity - Stars

Awkward - San Cisco

Always Alright - Alabama Shakes
